This weekend as part of The Swansea Fringe festival I'll be at the Waterfront Museum for the Elysium Artists Makers market on Saturday 6th and the Big Make event on Sunday 7th.
Saturday will see a small selection of Elysium studio residents sharing and selling their work.
We have a selection of fine artists; like illustrators/authors Shrimpy & the Pip, painters such as Stacey Davies and Laim Dunne, glass by Katie Fawcette, textiles from myself, The Creatory Wales and Yvonne Shore, heritage crafts by Ffibrau Y Gwyr participating so there should be something to tickle everyones tastebuds.
My own stall will have a selection of fabrics, scrap packs, sewing and crochet kits, gift vouchers and equipment and you'll also be able to sign up to my new selection of workshops before there are listed on my website - including natural dyeing, bobbin lace and sewing courses.
In addition I am offering a little discount as a gift to anyone who books onto a workshop* with me over the weekend. You lucky buggers.
The following day, for The Big Make as part of Fun Palaces, Rachel of Ffibrau Y Gwyr and I will be running a poppy making workshop, we will provide all materials to make crocheted red and white poppies to be sold to raise money for The Royal British Legion.
I will also have demonstrations from textile artists who you will see leading workshops at Sew Swansea in the next few months. So make sure you come by to see what we have going on and get first chance to get yourself booked in and keep an eye out for blog posts profiling the lovely people and their incredible work we have coming up at the studio for your learning, crafting pleasure.
